Getting to Isla Verde

From Guatemala City or Antigua there are lots of shuttle services going to Panajachel, the main town in Lake Atitlan. Please let us know if you need us to book one for you, we work with both private or shared shuttle services from most main destinations in Guatemala.

Once you arrive at Panajachel, get to the Tzanjuyu dock, where all the boats leave for San Pedro, San Marcos and Santa Cruz. Once at the dock, take a boat to Santa Cruz -they leave every 15 to 30 minutes, first one at 6am and last one at 7.00pm. Ask the boat captain to drop you at the ISLA VERDE PRIVATE DOCK. Please let us know if you want us to book a private boat for you, which costs around US$25 depending on the time and number of passengers.

Panajachel is the most usual entrance to Lake Atitlan, but some travel agencies might give you the option of leaving you in San Pedro or Santiago, from either one of these there are public boats leaving to Santa Cruz every 30 minutes.
